Bespoke is a global leader in providing AI-powered chatbots that help companies and governments provide their customers with an engaging and improved customer experience when searching for help or trying to perform routine tasks. Bespoke’s technology relies on advanced AI technology to understand the intent behind a customer’s question and reply with a dynamic or curated answer. Furthermore, to achieve continuous learning in our AI, Bespoke has a team of chat support specialists that can intervene in a conversation and continuously improve the Bot’s knowledge on behalf of the customer. Our chatbot “Bebot” currently services over 11M users a year, which is over 30% of the entire market in Japan as well as international customers such as Star Alliance and Tampa Airport.

We’re seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Senior Product Manager to join our team. You will work with our leadership team and the technology team to hone and deliver on Bespoke’s unique product offering, and directly impact the growth and direction of the company. You will also be responsible for hiring, training, and mentoring a team of Product Managers to support this growth and direction.

Bespoke is a highly collaborative and fast moving environment, and you’ll work with incredibly talented people across the entire organization to create real-time products for our clients and analysts, focused on the delivery of knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the ideation, technical development, and launch of innovative products to accelerate Bespoke’s growth
  • Lead and own market analysis, including customer and prospect feedback collection
  • Consult with prospects and partners to deliver prospect solutions and partner go-to-market strategies
  • Build and own Bespoke’s data-driven product roadmap, collaborating with Engineering, Sales, and Marketing teams
  • Manage the full product life-cycle, from research and design through development and deploy
  • Be the voice of our customers – both clients and analysts
  • Maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm
  • Oversees content creation and evaluation processes
  • Scale your workload, define team roles, and manage people as the product grows

Qualifications

  • Business-level Japanese and English
  • 5+ years product management experience at a high-growth software company
  • 3+ years experience managing Product Managers and product teams
  • Prior ownership of an external product or revenue-generating feature roadmap in excess of JPY 1B yearly external revenue
  • Ability to talk tech in-depth and understand databases, weighing in on technical tradeoffs
  • Past experience as a functional leader; demonstrated ability to create organization goals, prioritize, and maximize the effectiveness of your team
  • Demonstrated experience working directly with enterprise or large government customers; OR; experience as a product manager covering a SaaS customer experience modernization or support product
  • Past experience delivering custom solution proposals to prospects (in partnership with sales) based on a core product offering
  • Metrics focused, with an ability to define metrics for success and failure and analyze what may or may not be working
  • Strong product sense and deep understanding of what makes products effective
  • Self-motivated and willing to handle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a highly analytical or quantitative role
  • Experience with SaaS services deployed to public cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP)

  • Excellent management skills; excels without direct supervision and ambiguous priorities
  • Flexible with working hours
  • Legally able to be employed in Japan

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday (normal business hours except in support of customer or prospect needs)
