    Yes. Bebot can be used 24 hours, 7 days a week.

    Yes. It's free for tourists.

  • What languages are supported?

    Bebot is available in English and Chinese (simplified and traditional).

  • Can I change the language in Bebot?

    No. Bebot recognizes the language setting of your device and will match that. If your device is set in a language other than English or Chinese, Bebot will automatically be in English.

  • Do I have to download an app?

    No. There are no additional downloads. Bebot is available on your preferred web browser.

  • Can we talk to Bebot instead of texts?

    Yes. Bebot supports both text and voice input.

  • Can Bebot search for nearby restaurants?

    Yes. Bebot can provide restaurant information in your current location or a specific area.

    Yes. Bebot can recommend events. If your hotel is hosting an event, we can feature that in Bebot chat.

  • Can Bebot be used with a SIM card or roaming data?

    Yes. Bebot can be used in any way as long as there is internet connection.

    Yes. Bebot can be used on any device (tablet, smartphone, PC) as long as there is internet connection.

    Yes. bookings can be done within the chat. We are partnered with multiple external partners.

  • Do I have to register a credit card if I want to book a restaurant?

    No. You do not need to register a credit card.

  • Where does the data of shops, such as restaurants, come from?

    Bebot data comes from various places depending on what you request. Primary source includes data provided by each facility, our own database, our partner companies' database (restaurant booking and activity booking) and external APIs such as Google. We customize each Bebot using data collected from the above channels.

  • Where can I find Bebot?

    Bebot is available at partnered hotels, airports, and train stations.

  • How is Bebot different from a Google search?

    Bebot is 100% customized according to each facility, so it is able to answer facility-specific questions which Google cannot answer in detail. As Bebot has been created especially for travelers in Japan, Bebot is able to cater uniquely to each traveler.

    Yes. Bookings are completed within the chat interface of Bebot.

  • Who will be responsible if guests don't show up at a restaurant booked through Bebot?

    As the booking will be made under the guest's name, the hotel is not involved in any way. It will be the guest's responsibility to handle cancellations and any fees associated.

  • Can Bebot book taxis?

    Yes. Bookings are completed within the chat interface of Bebot.

  • How does Bebot handle taxi cancellations?

    In the event that Bebot cannot answer, it is programmed to transfer to our company's customer support. As we have staff stationed locally and overseas, we are able to respond 24/7.

    When we receive complaints regarding the peroperty, our support team will escalate issues to your front desk immediately.

  • Can guests use Bebot before check-in?

    Yes. It is possible, depending on the contract.

  • Can guests use Bebot after check-out?

    Yes. It is recommended to allow a few days of usage after check-out to encourage review submission and enhance customer satisfaction.

  • What are the steps to start chatting?

    Guests simply scan the QR code or click on a specific URL to start chatting. No additional download required.

  • Can guests use Bebot from a Handy device?

    Yes. Bebot can be embedded into the header menu of Handy.

  • How long does it take to setup Bebot at a hotel?

    It will normally take around 1 to 2 weeks to launch Bebot.

  • What do hotels need to do to implement Bebot for hotels?

    We send out the questionnaire for your front staff to fill out, which usually takes about 15-20min to complete. After we customize Bebot based on data given by each facility, all you need to do is to inform guests about Bebot. Hotels can distribute the Bebot access key during check-in, in the room manual, hotel Wi-Fi or on the hotel website.

    The introduction cost varies depending on what you want to use Bebot for and the number of rooms at your property. The cost includes a setup fee and monthly fee.

    There is a setup fee and monthly fee. The price varies depeding on plans.

  • Is the fee based on the number of access keys issued?

    No. You pay a fixed monthly fee, not pay-as-you-go.

  • Can hotels sell Bebot on a hotel website?

    Yes.

  • How often is the data updated?

    We update Bebot data on a regular basis. It takes less than 10min to update Bebot data once a request is made by a hotel.

  • What if I do not want certain shops to display?

    A blacklist can be created.

  • Can guests use Bebot outside the hotel?

    Yes. Bebot can be used anywhere as long as there is internet connection.

  • Do you share data collected through Bebot?

    Chat history sharing depends on the contract. If it is something simple, we can have it ready in about 2 weeks.

  • How do you manage personal information?

    We collect data without identifying individuals.

  • Can Bebot recommend restaurants inside our hotel to upsell?

    Yes. Please provide us with the restaurant name and photo you'd like displayed.

  • How long is the minimum contract period?

    Yes. As a general rule, a contract is for one year.

  • Is a trial run available?

    Yes. We normally offer yearly contracts, but it is possible to have a paid trial run of 3 months before deciding on further commitment.

  • What does Bebot do for airports?

    Bebot helps answer questions from your passengers over chat instead of information desks. Bebot can also help collect valuable passenger insights.

  • Does Bebot provide flight information?

    Yes. Bebot can provide some flight information such as scheduled departure/arrival time and gates. Bebot cannot handle anything regarding upgrades, seat changes or reservation changes yet.

  • How do airports install Bebot?

    Installation takes less than 1 hour. Airports can add the Bebot URL and icon to the airport Wi-Fi page or to the airoort's website.

  • How do passengers find Bebot?

    Bebot is available on the free airport Wi-Fi network. Once passengers are connected, Bebot chat will appear on the last page.

  • How long is Bebot valid for?

    Bebot will be available for 3 hours each time a passenger is connected. Once a session expires, passengers can redeem Bebot again for another 3 hours by reconnecting to Wi-Fi.

  • Can Bebot book flights?

    No. Bebot cannot book flights yet.

  • Where can I try Bebot for the airport?

    You can try Bebot for airports at Narita International Airport in Japan.

  • Can Bebot be connected to other systems?

    No. Bebot is only redeemable at the aiport and available for 3 hours after your first redemption. If you stay logged in and leave the airport you may use Bebot, but once your session expires you will not be able to redeem again.

  • Does Bebot work on PC or tablets?

    Yes. Bebot works on PC and tablet. Bebot is available on all browsers except Internet Explorer.

  • Is a trial run available?
